Man Impersonating Police Officer

Investigators with the Michigan State Police at White Pigeon are looking into separate cases of a man using a red light atop his vehicle to pull over and approach women alone in their cars.

Twice on Saturday, women were pulled over by the suspect. One incident took place on U.S. 131 at Gleason Road in Fabius Township and the other on U.S. 131 near M-216 in Park Township.

One woman told police she noticed the man following her at Meijer and after he later pulled her over, she fled the scene upon recognizing him from the store. The other woman, a first responder, activated a red light of her own as the man approached her vehicle. He returned to his vehicle and sped off without making contact with the woman, according to police.

Both women said the man appears to be in his late 30s or early 40s, stands about 6 feet tall, has a large build and has short, sandy blond hair.
