Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a person shot at a residence near Edwardsburg around noon Sunday.
Law-enforcement officials were summoned to a residence in the 70000 block of 5 Points Rd in Mason Township. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that Edwardsburg resident Trevor Clair, 44, had been shot during an altercation with another man at a garage on the property.
Both parties were visiting the homeowner at the time of the incident.
Clair was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend Indiana where he was in critical condition late Sunday.
Deputies arrested the man who witnesses say shot Clair. He was transported to the Cass County Jail. His name and information will be released after arraignment in Cass County 4th District Court today.
