Myrtle Irene Wright, 94, of Henderson Nev., and formerly of White Pigeon, Mich., died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Emirtus of Las Vegas, Nev., following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in White Pigeon, the daughter of Cleveland and Alta (Wegley) Bixler. On Oct. 13, 1942, she married Donald C. Wright in Constantine. He died Sept. 8, 1991.
She spent her early life as a waitress and grocery store clerk and was employed at the Constantine Creamery in the office for 25 years. She was a member of the White Pigeon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, LaMar (Lynn) Wright of Henderson, Nev.; daughter, Nadine (Jim) Laird of Titusville, Fla.; step daughter, Willadean (Tom) Warble of Howe, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step daughter, Virginia Wright; four sisters and two brothers.
Visitation is from noon-2 p.n. Wednesday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Scott Manning and Rev. Mary Blashill, of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Internment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
