Vint Being Held For Attempted Murder

An Elkhart, Ind., man was arraigned Monday in Cass County Fourth District Court after he was charged in connection with shooting a 44-year-old Edwardsburg man over the weekend.

Kevin Vint, 40, allegedly shot Trevor Claire in a garage at a residence near Edwardsburg midday Sunday.

Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department arrested Vint at the scene after witnesses identified Vint as having shot Claire twice with a pistol.

Vint was arraigned on charges of attempted murder, assault with intent to commit murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He remains in the Cass County Jail on a $300,000 bond.

Meanwhile, Claire remains listed in critical condition at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind.
