Gary Lee Beauchamp, age 66 of White Pigeon, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 2012 in a motor vehicle accident in Sturgis Township. He was born in LaPorte, IN on Jan. 30, 1946 the son of Vernon “Bud” and Norma (Bruner) Beauchamp. He attended Syracuse High School and was married to Fannie Hershburger; they were later divorced. Gary had resided in White Pigeon the past 15 years coming from Middlebury, and had worked in research & development at Coachman Industries for over 32 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and his Wheelhorse mower, and spending time with the Liar’s Club at the local cafés.
Gary is survived by a son and daughter in law, Mike (Heidi) Beauchamp of White Pigeon;
3 grandchildren, Janie, Kaitlyn, and Dillin Beauchamp; 3 sisters, Kay Ann York of South Carolina, Kathy (Rev. Ed) Damron of North Carolina, and Lisa Yoder of Middlebury; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been conducted. Memorial services will be held at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon on Monday Feb. 27, 2012 at 5 p.m. The family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials will be directed to the family.
