The American Cancer Society has announced its Relay For Life campaign in Three Rivers will kick off next week.
Starting at 6 p.m. March 1, cancer survivors, caregivers, families, schools, companies, faith-based and civic organizations are invited to gather at Kadant Johnson Research & Development Center to launch fundraising efforts for the year.
The theme of this year’s event is “Celebrating More Holidays.” Participating teams are encouraged to choose a holiday and focus their campsite on that holiday at this summer’s Relay for Life.
The Relay For Life of Three Rivers in 2011 raised more than $97,000, exceeding its goal by $17,000. This year’s goal is $100,000.
The 2012 Relay For Life will take place June 22 and 23 at Three Rivers High School. More information is available from event chairperson Danielle Rohrer, at 506-9365, or by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
