Richard Neavor, age 54, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at his home.
He was born Sept. 5, 1957, in Hillsdale, a son of the late John and Dorothy (Gottschalk) Neavor.
Richard had been a resident of Hillsdale most of his life and moved to Sturgis in 1996. He had been employed by Midwest Tool since moving to Sturgis.
Richard enjoyed bowling, hunting, NASCAR, collecting things, and watching sci-fi and especially “MASH” on TV.
Surviving are close personal friends, Charles (Andrea) Haskell and their sons, Ryan and Eric Haskell, all of Jackson; an aunt, Joyce Myers of Waldron; and cousins.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A time of remembrance will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
A graveside service and interment will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at Maple Grove Cemetery near Hillsdale.
Memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
