Warren Brandebury, 87

Warren J. Brandebury, 87, of LaGrange, Ind., and formerly of Sturgis, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange.

Mr. Brandebury was born June 6, 1924, in Grand Rapids, to Arlee and Bertha (Stahr) Brandebury; they preceded him in death.

In 1960, he moved to Sturgis, where he lived until two years ago, when he moved to LaGrange. Mr. Brandebury was a pharmacist and former owner of the drug store and hardware store in Orland, Ind.

Mr. Brandebury was a United States veteran having served in World War II with the Marine Corps. He was a member of LaGrange Baptist Church in LaGrange.

On March 22, 1946, he married Hazel Marie Rhodes in Weatherford, Texas; she preceded him in death Oct. 1, 2004.

Surviving are a son, Robert Brandebury of Sturgis; a granddaughter and her husband, Kim and Jerry Boecker Jr. of Constantine; a grandson and his wife, Tom and Janelle Brandebury of Burr Oak; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at LaGrange Baptist Church, 1370 N-SR 9, LaGrange, with Pastor Jeff Farnham officiating.

Burial will follow in Bronson Cemetery in Bronson, with Bronson American Legion conducting a military graveside service.

Memorials may be made to the LaGrange Baptist Church.
