Douglas Hall, 57

Douglas Lynn Hall, 57, of Union, Mich., died at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at his residence after a battle with cancer.

He was born on Jan. 19, 1955, in Elkhart, Ind., to Chester and Ruby (Blough) Hall.

Surviving are a daughter , Shalee Hall of Union; three sons, Douglas Chester Hall, Ryan (Amber) Hall and Eric Scott Hall, all of Union; two grandchildren, Breydon Gingerich and Kirstin Hall; his mother of Cassopolis; two sisters, Barbara Jean (Larry) Miller of Union, Marilyn (Richard) Frey of Middlebury, Ind.; and a brother, Dale (Janelle) Hall of Union. He was preceded in death by his father; two grandsons, Landon Michael Gingerich and Elijah Hall; and a sister, Connie Hall.

He was a farmer, did concrete work for L & L Geans in South Bend, Ind., was self-employed doing wood processing and had done floor covering for the last two years. He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation, the Porter Township Fire Department, and the Cass County Conservation Club.

Doug enjoyed spending time with his friends and family doing anything crazy outdoors, including hunting, mud bogging, racing and raising heck.

Visitation will be from ­­­­­­­­­­­­5-8 p.m. today with a memorial service held at 7 p.m. today at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, Ind. A service will also be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel Hill Missionary Church, Union. Both services will be conducted by Pastor Don Matteson. Burial will be in Plum Grove Cemetery, Union.
