Lori Running For Re-election

State Rep. Matt Lori said he has filed paperwork to make official his candidacy for re-election this fall.

Lori, 55, is starting the final year of his second two-year term. By law, he can serve in the position for a total of three, two-year terms.

The Constantine-area resident and former sheriff of St. Joseph County said he has enjoyed serving residents of the 59th District and would like to continue the work he started as a freshman legislator in 2009.

The 59th district will undergo a minor change in 2013. Due to redistricting, Lori would represent Cass County residents in the city of Dowagiac and in Wayne Township. He would lose Ontwa and Milton townships and the village of Edwardsburg.

The district will remain in tact covering all of St. Joseph County.
