Marian E. Rentfrow, 93, of White Pigeon, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers following an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Constantine, a daughter of Samuel Clement and Hazel Mae (Rangler) Whitmore.
On June 11, 1958, she married Everett E. Rentfrow in Constantine. He died June 5, 2004.
She was a White Pigeon resident since 1955, and also a resident of Constantine, Elkhart, Ind., and Osceola, Ind.
She was a homemaker and worked in the office of Constantine Creamery, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the White Pigeon United Methodist Church and enjoyed her family, sewing, crocheting and traveling to Florida.
Surviving are a daughter Evelyn (Don) Connelly of White Pigeon; two sons, Wayne E. (Pat) Rentfrow of White Pigeon and Tom (Marcia) Rentfrow of Niles; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel (Sam) Ruggles of Constantine and Florence Brothers of Elkhart; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Whitmore and a sister, Dorothy Bycroft.
There will be no visitation. Services will be held at 11 a.m. April 7 at White Pigeon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Manning officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
