Rose Marble, 67

Rosemarie S. (Rose) Marble, age 67, of Colon, passed away, Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

Rose was born July 11, 1944, in Detroit, a daughter to the late Arthur F. and Alice (Oakes) Comport.

On April 6, 1990, she married Richard L. Marble in Coldwater. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2004.

Rose had made her home in Colon for the past 20 years coming from Union City. Rose was on the go all the time and really enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by seven children, Theresa L. Marunde of White Pigeon, John R. Honyoust of Red Oak, Va., Steven W. (Kim) Honyoust of Battle Creek, James A. Honyoust of Rutledge, Tenn., Scott A. (Venus) Honyoust of Angola, Ind., Tracy Norton and friend Ron Wing of Colon, and Michael S. Honyoust; four step-children, Terry L. Marble of Sherwood, Kelley (Dale) Slack of Quincy, Shawn Littlejohn of Union City, and Suzette Burns of Tekonsha; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and step-great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Woodby of Dearborn; and brother Arthur Comport of Iverness, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Wolschlager, Alice Chase and Barbara Danes.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Rose Marble will be Tuesday, March 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Mr. David J. Farrell officiating. Cremation will follow. Private interment of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.
