Gilbert Bell, 90

Gilbert D. Bell, 90, long-time resident of the Three Rivers area, died on April 9, 2012, after chronic illness. He was retired from the Michigan State Hospital system. Mr. Bell was a member of the Order of the Knights of Columbus and served as an usher at his church.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Inez Bell; significant friend, Dorothy Muse; his parents, Hamilton Bell and Janie Frances [nee Spalding] Bell; all his brothers, Fred, Bernard, Joseph, Everett (Floyd), Paul (Danny); all his sisters, Pauline Bell, Ora Garrett, Lorraine Bell, Claudia Hall and Lucille Waller.

He is lovingly remembered by steadfast caregiver as well as friend, Carolyn McNary and his family, nieces, nephews: Mary Washington, Bernard Waller, Stephen Goldston, DeIdra Hall-Holmes, and many great- and grand-nephews/nieces, and cousins as well as friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at the Hohner Funeral Home with Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Robert Johansen officiating.

Interment will be held in St. Edwards Cemetery, Mendon.
