Loranne Marie Jacobs, 91, of Three Rivers and formerly of Bradenton, Fla., passed away peacefully on Easter Morning, April 8, 2012. She was born on Aug. 2, 1920 in Mattawan, the daughter of the late John and Luella (Britton) Butler.
Loranne had been a long time resident of this area where she worked for more than 20 years at G.T.E. Telephone company. She was married to the late Elmer O. Jacobs who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded by her parents; four sisters, Vivian Butler, Marian (Butler) Corey, Frances (Butler) Shutes and Kathryn (Butler) Jacobs-Gasior; three brothers, Thurlo, Carl and John Butler.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, one very special niece and caregiver, Linda Kay (Gary) Blood of Three Rivers; two sisters, Hilda Jean (Butler) Harmon and Rosemond (Butler) Inman; as well as various nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Maria Rutland officiating.
Interment will be held in Moorepark Cemetery.
