Arthur Hamlin, age 75, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at his home.
Art was born March 13, 1937, in Carey, Wyandot County, Ohio, a son of Dee Hamlin and Lona Marie Brown.
Art served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1958 as a staff sergeant. He retired from Lear Corp of Mendon in 1998 after 32 years of service as supervisor.
Art was preceded in death by both of his parents; his stepfather, James Collins; three brothers, Rodney, Dee Jr. and George; and a sister, Dorothy Hamlin.
He is survived by his caregiver and wife of 19 years, Priscilla; a sister, Edith (Ron) Kelley of Nampa, Idaho; two sons, Ed (Liz) of Coldwater and Ted (Tammy) of Sherwood; a stepdaughter, Darla (Bill) Taylor of Sherwood; two stepsons, Eric LaBar of Athens and Alan LaBar of Highland; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Royal Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice.
