Francis “Frank” Joseph Cipriano, 61, of Three Rivers, died May 13, 2012, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born June 8, 1950, in Kalamazoo, a son of Joseph and Ruth (Wheater) Cipriano.
Frank graduated from Monsignor Hackett High School in Kalamazoo before serving his country as a member of the U.S. Navy.
He was employed by HI Tech Systems Engineering Inc., as an engineering consultant. He spent many years at Abbott Laboratories in Sturgis, where he leaves many friends and co-workers.
Frank was the guiding light for the loving family he leaves behind. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Cipriano of Portage; his son, Joseph (Katie) Cipriano; grandsons Nick, Alex and Thor, all of Three Rivers; a granddaughter, Abby of Kalamazoo; a brother, Michael Leo Cipriano of Portage; a sister, Sharon Cipriano Galbreath of Allegan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his daughter, Marissa Spooner.
A private family graveside service will take place at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. June 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bennett Hall, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo.
Memorial donations may go to International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 131 Scholarship Fund.
