Geraldine L. Halsey, age 92, of Centreville, passed away Sunday morning, May 13, 2012, at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Centreville.
She was born Dec. 30, 1919, in Battle Creek, a daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine (Fullrider) Miller.
Mrs. Halsey resided in Centreville since 2005. Prior to moving to Centreville, she lived in Sturgis since 1994, coming from Constantine, where she spent her early life.
On Aug. 5, 1996, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Halsey.
She was a private housekeeper and a homemaker.
Mrs. Halsey was a member of Sturgis Pentecostal Church, the White Shrine of Three Rivers and enjoyed needlework.
Her parents, husband and one sister preceded her in death.
Friends of Geraldine Halsey will be received from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. A graveside service and burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sturgis Memorial Gardens in Sturgis.
