High speed police chase

Sturgis Police were involved in a high speed chase Tuesday night around 10:30, when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of South Lakeview and Congress Street for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle fled and led police on a high speed chase into Indiana. The driver eventually lost control of the car and crashed into the front yard of a residence. The 34-year-old male driver then fled on foot into a swamp where he was apprehended. His name has not been released.
