John F. Loftus, formerly of Dover, Mass., died peacefully May 11, 2012, in Three Rivers.
Beloved son of Frances A. (Guastello) and the late Kevin T. Loftus; devoted father of Lincoln P. Loftus of Three Rivers; brother of Brian J. of Wellesley, Christopher P. of Boston and Elizabeth A. Loftus-Rafalin Maplewood, N.J.; also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services are at 9 a.m. Friday at Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave., Brighton, Mass. A funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 28 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are 4-8 pm. Thursday. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, Mass.
A Boston College graduate, class of 1994, John worked in corporate operations, landscaping design and home renovations, before becoming a full-time dad to his son, Lincoln Patrick. He continued to pursue his passion as a singer-songwriter and had just began coaching his son’s Little League team.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John Loftus Memorial Educational Fund, dedicated to Lincoln Patrick Loftus at the Needham Cooperative Bank 1063 Great Plain Ave., Needham, MA 02492.
