Two people were arrested by Sturgis Police Saturday after the vehicle in which they were stopped yielded a trio of one-pot meth labs.
Police said the inactive labs were found in the trunk of the car, which was pulled over around 2 a.m. at an unidentified location for a moving violation.
While the matter was being investigated by police, a passenger fled on foot. Police quickly caught up to him and used a stun gun to apprehend him.
He was arrested for the meth lab and possession of brass knuckles. Additional charges were leveled after he provided false identification to police. The unnamed subject had three meth-related warrants.
The driver was arrested for obstructing a police investigation, possession of meth precursors and a weapons offense.
The two were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
