Anne Pryser, 89

Anne Moore Pryser, born June 10, 1922, in South Bend, Ind., and formerly of Sturgis, died June 6, 2012, in Norwich, Vt., where she had lived since 2007.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth Cole Moore and Elwyn Michael Moore; her beloved husband, Ray Charles Pryser Jr.; her sister, Barbara Moore Noble; and her grandson, Thomas Brandom Leary.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Moore Forester of Glenview Ill.; her six children, Anne Pryser Leary of Dallas, Martha Pryser Candon and her husband, Jack, of Norwich, Jane Pryser Malloy and her husband, Gary, of Canton Ohio, Charles Pryser and his wife, Karen, of Brighton, Betsy Pryser of Chicago and Caroline Pryser Goodrich and her husband, Charlie, of Lexington, Mass.

In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren: Anne; Charles and Allie Leary; Patrick Candon; John, Michael and Patrick Malloy; Emma and Eleanor Pryser; Jim and JiaoJiao Andrew; and Peter Goodrich; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Anne attended Purdue University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. A longtime resident of Sturgis, Anne was a parishioner of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Ave Maria Altar Society, Sturgis Garden Club and her book club. She also was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Hanover, N.H.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. June 23 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis, with burial immediately following in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend deep appreciation to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Visiting Nurse Association of Vermont.
