Karl Brian Jennings, age 58, of Fort Gratiot, MI, passed away Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 at his home. Karl was born in Corpus Christi N.A.S., TX on March 17, 1954, a son of Bud and Dorothy (Hassinger) Jennings. Karl graduated from Constantine High School in 1972 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan. On May 4, 2002 he married Beth Davis in St. Claire Shores, MI. He retired as an Engineer for Detroit Edison Power Company Detroit. Karl was an avid reader and and recently became active in commercial photography. He was an accomplished sailor having participated in the Mackinac Race for the past 18 years. Karl was a member of the Detroit Edison Yacht Club and taught sailing to beginning sailors.
Surviving are his parents Bud and Dorothy Jennings, Constantine, wife Beth Jennings, Fort Gratiot, MI, brothers Steven (Denise) Jennings, Tom Jennings and Shane Jennings all of Constantine, and 7 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Katherine Hammon.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine where Memorial Services will follow at at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Dennis Smith, Messiah Lutheran Church Constantine will officiate.
