Marianna Lammon, 81

Marianna Lammon, 81, of Palm Bay, Fla., died suddenly on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. She was born in Three Rivers on Aug. 6, 1930, the daughter of Lester and Nellie (Mayer) Penn and attended Three Rivers schools, graduating with the Class of 1948.

Marianna was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Jerome; and her husband, Alvin Lammon, who she married in 1950. They were the parents of 10 children, six of whom preceded her in death. They were Gina, Michael, Ricky, Tom, Peter and Cherie. She is survived by Jim, Frank, Joe (Tina), David (Cindy); 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Audrey Frane of Bitely; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Marianna had many artistic talents and despite her busy life as a wife and mother she found time to create many beautiful ceramic figurines, portrait paintings and other works of art. She had also accumulated an outstanding collection of charming dolls. She loved beauty around her, which included the beauty of music and enjoyed playing her piano and magnificent organ, a gift from her husband.

Marianna was a lifelong Catholic. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Palm Bay, Fla. A funeral Mass will be celebrated here at the Immaculate Conception Church on S. Douglas Avenue on Saturday, June 9 at 11 a.m. with Father Robert Johansen officiating. There will be a private interment of the cremains.
