June Stuck, 80

Rosetta J. Stuck, age 80, of Burr Oak, passed away Thursday morning, July 5, 2012, at Matthew 7:7 Limited in White Pigeon.

She was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Fremont, Ind., a daughter of the late Cyrus and Emma (Eatinger) Burch.

Mrs. Stuck had resided in Burr Oak for the past 60 years. Her early life was spent in the Litchfield area and she was a graduate of Litchfield High School with the class of 1950.

On June 24, 1950, she married Robert L. Stuck in Ypsilanti.

June retired from Kirsch Company in Sturgis following several years of dedicated employment.

She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak, where she was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Ladies Aid and the Alter Guild. She was also active in her community, volunteering her time with the Burr Oak Band Boosters, P.T.A. and the Burr Oak Mother’s Club. June enjoyed watercolor painting, quilting, crocheting, walking at Doyle Community Center in Sturgis, traveling and gardening.

Mrs. Stuck was always active and involved, but she never lost sight of her love and devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She truly loved sharing her faith with others.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 62 years, Robert; three daughters, Kathryn (James) Ware of Sturgis, Rebecca (Raymond) Ware of Burr Oak and Jo Ann (James) Flatt of Mishawaka, Ind.; a son, Robert L. (Tammy) Stuck Jr. of Burr Oak; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Steve, Sally, Adam, Marci, Sara, Robert and Monica; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Marguerite, Marie, Mary and Francis; and a brother, Lester.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Rosetta June Stuck will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak. The Rev. Kurt Kuhlmann will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
