Max Juday, 81

Max Miller Juday, age 81, of Elkhart, formerly of Centreville, passed away while surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 7th, 2012 in Elkhart, IN. He was born in LaGrange County, IN on October 1, 1930,  a son of Clare and Mae (Miller) Juday. Max graduated from Brighton High School in 1948.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and snowmobiling. Max played basketball throughout high school and was a fan of Jimtown Football. Max worked the family farm for many years. He also worked at Hart Press Steel in Elkhart, Plum Rose Meat in Elkhart and Wheel Camper in Centreville & Colon.
Surviving Max are his wife of 32 years Norma Weaver, Elkhart, daughter  Brenda (Randall) Bates of Branford, FL, stepchildren Michele (Kenton) Kelley of Sturgis, Jennifer (Brian) Barrs of Branford, FL, Dennis (Cindy) Weaver, Jerry (Kathy) Weaver, Susan (Tom) Behling, all of Elkhart., sisters  Susie (George) Stuck of Benzonia, MI, Patricia Sperry of Three Rivers, MI, Nancy (Marv) Miller of Jones, brother James Juday of Bullhead City, AZ, grandchildren Jazmyne Bates & Jayden Bates, both of FL, many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 1-2 p.m. at Eley Funeral Homes in Centreville, where funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. Larry Banghart will officiate. Interment will be in Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville, MI.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care of Elkhart, 22579 Old US 20 East, Elkhart, IN 46516.
