Richard A. Good, age 65, of Colon, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at The Laurels of Coldwater.
Richard was born Oct. 26, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late Alonzo and Louise (Bidwell) Good.
Richard graduated from Trotwood High School in 1964 and also was a graduated of Ohio State University in 1969.
Richard had made his home in Colon for the past several years, coming from Lewisburg and Trotwood, Ohio.
He had been a teacher and later an editor and writer for the Lewisburg Leader newspaper.
He was a member of the Colon Masonic Lodge F&AM #73, where he had served as worshipful master in 2000 and 2001.
He is survived by a son, Christopher R. Good of Westerville, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy Cooper of Brookville, Ohio, and Judi Witzl, of Sarasota, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends in Colon.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon. A Masonic memorial service will then take place at 11 a.m., with the Colon Masonic Lodge presiding.
