SJCTA added a second bus

The St. Joseph County Transportation Authority has added a second bus to its Circle Line route in Sturgis.

CTA Director Steve Yorks said the additional bus, which began operating Monday, was necessary to accommodate steady ridership aboard the six-day-a-week Circle Line already in place in Sturgis. He said an average of 1,200 people patronize the Sturgis Circle Line monthly.

The second bus will operate 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Friday and follow the same 11-stop route throughout the city. Yorks said the addition of a second bus means Circle Line riders will have a wait of no more than 30 minutes.

Cost to board the fixed-route Circle Line bus is $1.
