Donald McClish, 90

Donald Elwood McClish, age 90, of Mendon died Saturday Aug. 18, 2012 at Fairview Living Center in Centreville where he had resided the past 4 months. He was born in Mendon on Aug. 27, 1921 the son of Hosea L. and Gladys (Helwig) McClish and was a lifetime resident of Mendon. He graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1940. Donald engaged in general farming his entire working life and for a short while was co-owner of D & G Tiling Service.

Donald is survived by a brother, Richard McClish of Mendon, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 1966; his mother in 1986; and a brother, Eugene McClish, in 2010.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 21, 2012 in Mendon Cemetery with David Farrell officiating.
