John Wesley Climmons was born March 24, 1925 to the union of the late Isaac and Eunice (Williams) Climmons in Pike County, Miss. He passed away on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at 10:20 a.m. at Heartland Health Care Center, following a lengthy illness.
He was married to Henrietta Applegate Climmons. No children were born to the union.
He is survived by one sister, Eunice Climmons Davis of San Antonio, Texas; a special niece, Gwendolyn F. Climmons (Jerry and Madison) of Houston, Texas; a special nephew, Isaac Charles (Barbara) Current of Bolingbrook, Ill.; a host of relatives, friends and spiritual brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta; his parents, Isaac and Eunice Climmons; his brother, Willie Matthew Climmons of Opelousas, La.; sisters, Adell Martin of Hammond, La., Jennie Lou Gatlin of Magnolia, Miss., Rosa Otten of Bolingbrook, Ill. and Ruther Lee Climmons of Magnolia, Miss.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Richard Black officiating.
