Marty Barth, 77

Martin “Marty” Everette Barth, 77, of Three Rivers, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 at the University of Michigan Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on Jan. 23, 1935 in Detroit, the son of Martin Henry and Beatrice (Stebbins) Barth.

Marty and his late wife Jan, who preceded him in death in 2010, have been long time residents of Three Rivers. They belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers and Marty served as Lockport Township supervisor for many years. He also co-owned and operated Barth Farms for many years prior to his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice; and one sister, Betty Lou Barth.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory two children, Brenda Jann Barth of Orlando, Fla. and Andrew (Mary Alice) Barth of Columbia, S.C.; one brother, C. “Topper” (Emily) Barth of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 at the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers with Rev. Brenda Deily officiating.
