Suspect arrested

Deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department said a 39-year-old White Pigeon resident was arrested Saturday following a pursuit.

Sheriff’s Department officials said deputies attempted to stop the suspect for a moving violation in Three Rivers. According to a police report, the driver failed to pull over and led deputies on a pursuit through Three Rivers and into Florence Township.

At an undisclosed location in Florence Township, the suspect fled on foot but was captured after a short foot chase.

The suspect, whose name was not disclosed in a department media release, was lodged at St. Joseph County Jail and charged with fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing, driving with a suspended license and a number of outstanding warrants.
