Frances E. (Reiff) Poscharscky, age 80, of Elkhart, IN (formerly of White Pigeon), passed away on Thursday, September 6th, 2012 at her home. She was born in Constantine, MI on February 24, 1932, the daughter of Howard and Irma (Newell) Harlan. Frances attended Constantine Schools.
On July 2, 1949 she married Otto Reiff in Constantine, he preceded her in death on October 26, 1981. She later married Dale Poscharscky on May 9, 1987 in Constantine. Frances lived in the Constantine area until 2009 when she moved to Elkhart with Dale.
Frances worked at Day’s Molding in Constantine, retiring in 1993. She has also worked for the Village of Constantine, Pioneer, E.L. Nickell, all in Constantine, and at Meijer in Goshen.
Surviving Frances are her husband Dale Poscharscky, Elkhart, daughters Vicki (Dan) Davis, White Pigeon, Rozan (Paul) Moore, Pedro, OH, Tammy Horan, Oregon, stepchildren Adrain Poscharscky, Portland, OR, Gwen (Mike) Stutzman, Goshen, IN, Mary (Frank) Rupe, Three Rivers, Jackie Miller, Spring Lake, 2 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 6 step great grandchildren, niece Rene (William) Olinghouse, Goshen, nephew Mark (Stephanie) Lambert, Benton Harbor, several great and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband Otto Reiff, 2 sisters, Doris Kazwell & Donna Lambert.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine on Sunday from 5-7 p.m., with Religious Services immediately following at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Pirtle of Riverview General Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow services and interment of ashes will take place at the Constantine Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Goshen Hospice.
