Rosemary Schottenloher, 89

Rosemary Ann Schottenloher, age 89, formerly of Sturgis, passed away, Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Centreville.

She was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Kalamazoo, a daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Schock) Pulliam.

Rosemary was raised on a small farm near Howe, Ind., and graduated from Brighton High School where she was secretary of her class. She had been a resident of Sturgis most of her life and retired from the Kirsch Company with over 35 years of employment but, her real passion was music and the piano. Rosemary studied piano under numerous leading teachers during her lifetime, and taught many, many students in her home and at the Keyboard Center in Sturgis.

Surviving are two sons, Kaylor E. (Patricia) Shemberger of Chandler, Ariz., and Brent (Nelda) Shemberger of Pelham, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Howe, Ind., with the Rev. Jean Ness, Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hackman Family Funeral Home — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis, MI 49091.
