Betty Jean (B.J.) Thompson – White, age 69, of Constantine, passed away Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012 at her home. She was born in Constantine on April 10, 1943, a daughter of LaVern and Annabelle (Shuey) Sweitzer. B.J. graduated from Constantine High School in 1961. On April 7, 1989 she married Richard White in White Pigeon. B.J. worked as an electrician at Sesko Industries, Elkhart. Playmaker RV, Elkhart and Shadow Cruiser in Bristol. She loved country music, playing both guitar and piano. She played in a band that shared music with several area nursing homes.
Surviving are her husband Richard (Dick) White, Constantine, daughter Deborah (David Lewis) Thompson of Three Rivers, son Gary Thompson of Three Rivers, grandchildren Brandon Lewis, Sam Lewis and Cody (Jenny) Huyck, brother LaVern (Ann) Sweitzer, Oklahoma, sisters Becky (Charles) Lay, Consantine, and Mary (Sweitzer) Harrison, White Pigeon. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Frank Sweitzer.
Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 1 – 2 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where Religious Services will immediately follow at 2 pm. Kristie Donohue will officiate.
