Carol A. Hyde, 77, of Sturgis, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.
Carol was born on Nov. 18, 1934, in Kalamazoo, to Deo and Rosella (Buell) Stickley. She was a homemaker most of her life and had lived in Kalamazoo and Bronson, but had lived in Sturgis for the past seven years. Her husband, Glenn A. Hyde, preceded her in death in October 1976.
Mrs. Hyde is survived by her children Raymond (Mel) Owen of West Liberty, Ky. and Vicky Swafford of Sturgis; her brother, Ronald (Pat) Stickley of Calif., her sisters Maeletta (Keith) Savacool of Kalamazoo, Marlene Sanford of Comstock and Norma Jean Pavlick of New York; her grandchildren, Heather Herman, Brenda Newburn, Erica Hemminger, Samantha Meade, Dyanna Prough; her 14 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Reece, Angelina, Xavier, Morghan, Chloe, Caleigh, Luke, Emily, Allison, Cassandra, Evan, Lucas; and her sister-in-law Pat Forquer of Lake Odessa.
In addition to her husband, Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Richard, Robert, William and Raymond Stickley.
