Six area high school football teams have qualified for the 2012 playoffs.
Game days and start times were announced Monday by the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
Division 4 action will see a 6-3 Three Rivers squad traveling to Battle Creek to take on 8-1 Pennfield High in a 7 p.m. game Friday. We’ll carry the game live on WRCI – 97.1 FM, and we’ll stream the broadcast via our website.
Meanwhile, three local teams, all in Division 6, are involved in action also at 7 p.m. Friday. Constantine, the 2011 division runner-up, will travel to Watervliet; Schoolcraft hosts Niles Brandywine; and St. Joe Valley League member Bronson Vikings play at Hillsdale.
In Division 8, a pair of local teams will meet, as Colon High School travels to Mendon to take on the undefeated, No. 1-ranked Hornets in a 1 p.m. matinee game in Mendon.
