Joyce E. Neff, 79, of Jones, passed away at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Hearth at Juday Creek. She was born Feb. 2, 1933 in Elkhart, Ind. to Lane and Mary (Whiteman) Wilson.
On Oct. 4, 1958 in Elkhart she married John E. Neff. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2011 in Elkhart. Surviving are four sons, Ray (Vicki Murphy) Neff of Milford, Ind., Steve (Katherine LeRoy) Neff of St. Louis, Mo., David Neff of Jones and Keith (Erin Henige) Neff of Onondaga. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Mark, Stacey Harbin, Laura Schuman, Tonya, Ryan, Kyle, Stephanie and Caleb; five great-grandchildren. A brother Omar D. Wilson, Sr., preceded her in death.
Joyce was a homemaker and helped her husband John farm. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and reading.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Elkhart. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Stafford from the Milford First Brethren Church will preside and burial will follow in Olive (West) Cemetery.
