Leaf pickup begins

Now that it has completed residential brush removal, the Three Rivers Department of Public Services will begin fall leaf pickup today.

DPS officials are reminding the public that any household that include items other than leafs will potentially damage equipment and likely result in a code-enforcement citation.

Leaves may be placed in the street along the curb but not in the terrace area – which covers the strip of land between the sidewalk and curb.

The process will begin with the full work week in the Third District.

The order for the remainder of the city will be First District next week, Fourth District the week of Oct. 29 and the Second District the week of Nov. 5.

A second round of leaf pickup will begin Nov. 19.
