Charles Joseph Vins, age 62, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at his home.
He was born Jan. 3, 1950, in Berwyn, Ill., a son of the late Charles and Marie (Malina) Vins.
Charles had been a resident of the Sturgis area for the past 15-plus years and had been employed in local plastic factories before his health forced him to retire.
Surviving are two sons, Charles (Lisa) Vins and James (Rita) Vins; a daughter, Amy (Brian) Connerty; six grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Ava, Noah, Jimmy and Brooke; and a sister, Janice (Joseph) Batista.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Michael.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Illinois.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hackman Family Funeral Home — Hackman Chapel, Sturgis.
