Jeanette Murrel Schirs, age 74, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at her home. She was born in English, IN., on Aug. 20, 1938 the daughter of Edward A. and Laura Mae (Asher) French.
Jeanette has been a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. She was an avid and faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She also belonged to the Three Rivers Women’s Club, The St. Joseph County Republican Party, and was very active with the St. Joseph County Animal Rescue Fund (A.R.F.)
Mrs. Schirs was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Spencer (Donna) Schirs, of Chesterfield, MI., and Lisa Lynn (Jerry) Sears, of Grand Blanc, MI.; two grandchildren, Michael and Kathleen “Katie” Sears; one sister, Cherie (Ronnie Hughes) French, of Burr Oak; as well as a host of special friends and neighbors.
A memorial requiem mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 321 N. Main St., Three Rivers, with Fr. David Lillvis as celebrant.
