Ryan Lee Bowers Murphy, age 24, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.
He was born July 8, 1988, in Sturgis, a son of Gary Lee Bowers and Susan Marie Murphy Bowers.
He lived his life in Sturgis and was employed as a line leader at Cobalt Holdings in Sturgis.
Surviving are his fiancee, Emily Purcel; two children, Loretta, age 5, and Ryan Hunter, age 2 months; his father, Gary Lee Bowers of Ohio; grandmother Joyce Bowers of Columbus, Ohio; aunts Yolanda (Travis) Miller of Kentucky, Yvonne Borders of Columbus and Jamiann (Juan) Fernandez of Sturgis; grandmother Judy Murphy of Sturgis; grandfather Thomas (Beatrice) Murphy of Union; an uncle, Thomas Murphy of Sturgis; and two brothers, John Alan Hill of Texas and Matthew David Murphy of Sturgis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Marie.
Ryan was a great daddy, son, brother and friend.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Hackman Family Funeral Home — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
Services celebrating the life of Ryan Lee Bowers Murphy will be held immediately following the visitation at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
Memorial donations to the family would be appreciated to help with expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
