Fatal pedestrian accident in Constantine

Constantine Police Chief Jim Bedell said 52-year-old Michael Osborn was identified as the Constantine resident killed in a car/pedestrian accident Sunday night.  Bedell said the incident occurred at 6:10 p.m. on South Washington Street, where Osborn was attempting to cross the road in front of Dollar General but was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Three Rivers man.  Osborn died at the scene, Bedell said.  The incident remains under investigation and Bedell noted no citations were issued to the driver.
