Gene Evans, 70

Gene Ray Evans, age 70, of White Pigeon, formerly of Three Rivers, MI. passed away suddenly on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1942 in Three Rivers, MI. the son of Lloyd and Anna (Troyer) Evans.

Gene has been a lifelong resident of this area. He served his country and was honorably discharged in the United States Air Force. Gene was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman.

Gene was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Rosemary and Ramona Evans; brothers, Donald and Ronald “Butch”Evans.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, two daughters, Amy (Michael) Young, of Mottville, MI., and Nikki Browning, of Elkhart, IN.; three grandchildren, Bradley Evans, Travis Browning, Zachariah Browning, and one great grandchild in waiting, Zadien Browning; sister-in-law, Doris Evans, of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Linda Gearhart officiating.

Interment will be held at Peek Cemetery.

Memorials may be donated to the Charity of One’s Choice.
