Gregory Lee Sears, age 54, of Burr Oak, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 18, 2012, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born June 14, 1958, in Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., a son of John and Janice (Westphal) Sears.
Greg resided in the Sturgis and Burr Oak area most of his life.
He was currently employed by Parma Tube in Sturgis and also had worked at Michiana Laminating in Howe, Ind. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and loved his dog, Tubby.
Greg is survived by his parents, John and Janice Sears of White Cloud; two sisters, Tammy (Bruce) Waldron of Burr Oak and Alice Hill of Burr Oak; two brothers, Kevin (Tina) Sears of Edmonton, Ky., and the Rev. John (Shirley) Sears of Warm Springs, Ore.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Sears, on Aug. 25, 2012.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services.
Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
