Jeffery Lynn Councell, age 40, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in Hillsdale.
He was born Aug. 28, 1972, in Sturgis, a son of the late Sindy Sue Bauder and Daryl Ashbrook.
Jeff lived in the Sturgis and Coldwater areas his entire life. On Dec. 17, 2010, he married Sarah Garner in Hillsdale.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; children Karastin, Jon and Samantha; two sisters; a brother; his father; a grandmother, Mary Bauder; two aunts; an uncle; and his best friend, Rick Viglione.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and grandfather, Raymond Bauder.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes, Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis.
Cremation will follow visitation. A graveside committal and burial of the ashes will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
Pastor Stephen Middleton of Christian Fellowship Center in Sturgis will officiate.

Jeff was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
