Joycelyn Ann (Weyrick-Lott) La Brash, age 80, of Three Rivers and formerly of Dowagiac died Friday Dec. 28, 2012 at Three Rivers Health. She was born in Three Rivers on Aug. 2, 1932 the daughter of Lynn and Leona (Wagner) Weyrick. She was a graduate of Centreville High School and attended Western Michigan University. She was married to Gerald F. Lott, Jr. on May 10, 1952. They were later divorced. Joycelyn worked as a teacher’s aid at Dowagiac Schools, at Walmart, and several area Goodyear Tire Stores. She was a member of the Lockport Women’s Club and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 210.
Joycelyn was married to Robert La Brash on June 30, 1979 in Traverse City. He survives along with 3 sons, David P (Maureen) Lott of Indianapolis, Richard W. (Kim) Lott of Grand Haven, and Daniel F. (Diana) Lott of Chicago; 2 daughters, Sara A. (Steve) Heuer of Dowagiac, and Susan (Larry) Watson of Cassopolis; 2 step-sons, Ralph La Brash of Galesburg, and Gary La Brash of Australia; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lynn “Sonny” Weyrick, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday Jan. 4, 2013 at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 5, 2013 at the funeral home followed by burial in Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville.
