Mike Haney, 55

Michael Jay Haney, 55, of Casa Grande, Ariz., and formerly of Burr Oak, Mich., died Oct. 23, 1012, at Alamo Lake, Ariz.

He wa born Feb. 26, 1957, to Norman and Eleanor (Hill) Haney in Sturgis, Mich.

Mike was an avid Michigan fan, loved riding his Harley-Davidson, camping, hunting and four wheeling. He was proud of his service in the Air Force and for running several marathons. He loved his dogs and sharing a beer with his friends and family.

Surviving include his wife of 14 1/2 years, Anna of Casa Grande; a daughter, Carmen Clements of Iraq; a son, Steven Haney of Michigan; four step children, Eddie Velazquez, Anthony Sanchez, Toby Lawson and Summer LaVoo; three sisters, Anna (James) Van Nest; Joyce Haney and Ken Brackett, and Teresa Grose and Neal Redick; 11 grandchildren; one niece, Tonya Kargol; five nephews, Tony Van Nest, Tyler Grose, David, Ken Jr. and Casey Brackett; several aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss him dearly.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Norman and Eleanor; a brother, Norman Lee; and a nephew, James Richard Van Nest.

Angels in Waiting Cremation Center in Casa Grande, Ariz., was in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to Valley Humane Society, PO Box 10480 Casa Grande, Ariz., 85130.

There will be a memorial service Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak.
