Police have concluded investigation

The Constantine Police Department has concluded the school-related portion of its investigation regarding sexual conduct demonstrated by two 5-year-old boys at Eastside Elementary.

According to a department media release, results of the week-long investigation were reported to Constantine Public Schools Superintendent Chuck Frisbie. He said the classroom instructor resumed teaching duties Monday and there is no criminal negligence on her part.

Frisbie said the two boys involved in the incident have been temporarily removed from the classroom and will be offered educational services at home.

Meanwhile, investigators will now shift their attention to a different arena to determine if the boys have been victimized in any manner. The continuation of the investigation is due in part to the behavior exhibited falling outside the realm of normal sexual curiosity, police said.
