Two unrelated theft incidents are being investigated by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
According to a department media release, investigators were called to a report of the theft of two Bushnell trail cameras from the 51000 block of McClish Road in Mendon Township.
The cameras were located in a wooded area east of McClish Road and were taken sometime between Nov. 29 and Dec. 5.
Meanwhile, the department responded to another larceny report, this one involving a TSC Huskee log splitter.
The 28-ton splitter had a 6 1/2- horsepower Honda motor and was taken between Dec. 5 and 7 from the 58000 Block of Farrand Road in Colon Township.
