The third annual Stuff a Blue Goose event, sponsored by the Michigan State Police at the Coldwater post, was declared a success by event organizers.
Staged Saturday at five locations throughout St. Joseph County, the toy drive encouraged donors to stuff an MSP patrol car with toys, which will be distributed to area children in need. Cars were parked at Walmart stores in Sturgis and Three Rivers. In addition, drop-off sites were at the MSP detachment in White Pigeon, Vetter Chevrolet in Three Rivers and Dollar General in Constantine.
Organizers said they are taking inventory of the items, which will be passed along to agencies that work with area families.
